چکیده
Future cellular systems will make use of millimeter wave (mmWave) frequency bands. Many users in these bands are located indoors, i.e., inside buildings, homes, and offices. Typical building material attenuations high ranges interest for link budget calculations. In this paper, we report on a collaborative measurement campaign to find the attenuation several typical materials three potential mmWave (28, 73, 91 GHz). Using directional antennas, took multiple measurements at locations using narrow-band wide-band signals, averaged out residual small-scale fading effects. Materials include clear glass, drywall (plasterboard), plywood, acoustic ceiling tile, cinder blocks. Specific range from approximately 0.5 dB/cm tile 28 GHz 19 glass GHz.

Causality Analysis of Frequency Dependent Wave Attenuation
The work is inspired by thermo-and photoacoustic imaging, where recent efforts are devoted to take into account attenuation and varying wave speed parameters. In this paper we derive and analyze causal equations describing propagation of attenuated pressure waves. We also review standard models, like frequency power laws, and the thermo-viscous equation and show that they lack causality in the ...

Due to the growth of high-frequency signal usage in recent years, limiting the coverage of these signals in the common household environment has become an issue. The paper proposes a set of simulations and measurements aiming to determine the attenuation of the GSM and Wi-Fi signals as they pass through different types of construction materials. Using MATLAB Simulink© and experimental studies u...

Millimeter-wave (mm-wave) radios have been gaining interest as one of the strong enabling physical layer technologies for the fifth-generation (5G) mobile and backhaul access. This paper aims at clarifying possible roles of the mm-wave radios in the 5G development and performing comprehensive literature survey on the radio channel modeling for the feasibility study of a radio link. Emphasis in ...
